Abstract

This paper investigates the macro and microstructures that characterize aviation radiotelephony as a linguistic genre. Considering the predictable resources inherent to specific discourses, this study aims to understand better how this genre works and provide appropriate training courses for Brazilian pilots concerning their discursive performance during the interactions in English with air traffic controllers .

Juarez Antonio Delibo, Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo

Possui Doutorado em Educação pela Universidade de São Paulo, investigando a formação e a prática do professor de inglês. Realizou o curso de Mestrado em Lingüística Aplicada ao Ensino de Línguas também pela Universidade de São Paulo, apresentando a dissertação intitulada “Linguagem Aeronáutica: um estudo do ato interativo na radiotelefonia da aviação civil”. Professor do centro Estadual de Educação Tecnológica Paula Souza.
