Abstract

Based on semiotic theory, this paper intends to analyze the intertextuality between the short story Debaixo da Ponte Preta (Down the Black Bridge), by Dalton Trevisan, and the police report, mainly the way Trevisan's short story displaces the will of truth inherent to the police report and the interests of each deponents, emphasizing, among other aspects, the role of the police text as an oppression accomplice.

Graduação em Letras (Licenciatura Plena, Habilitação em Português, em Inglês e nas Respectivas Literaturas) pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM-PR), Mestrado e Doutorado em Letras (Teoria da Literatura) pela Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP-SP), campus de São José do Rio Preto. É Professor Adjunto de Teoria da Literatura da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), campus de Currais Novos (RN).
