Abstract

This article presents a study on genetic criticism, with the theoretical support of the peircean semiotics, about the construction process of the book Não Verás País Nenhum written by Ignácio de Loyola Brandão. Having as the starting point of the analysis the writer's work with verbal language, his creative procedures will be emphasized.

Tem graduação em Língua e literatura inglesas pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1976), mestrado em Lingüística Aplicada e Estudos de Línguas pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1981) e doutorado em Lingüística Aplicada e Estudos de Línguas pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1990). Atualmente é professora titular do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação e Semiótica da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.
