Printed Media Genres in Textbooks and Adapted News

This article presents the results of a research about how the Portuguese language textbooks evaluated in the PNLD/1999 have worked with texts from the printed media. In the analysis, the media texts presented are modified, which can bring consequences for the teaching of reading.
