Abstract

By proposing the documentation of the memory and cultural heritage of the ABC region by means of recording life story narratives of its inhabitants, guided by oral history techniques, the ABC Memory Research Center of the Municipal University of São Caetano Sul (IMES) faces a series of citizens' rights. Therefore the objective of this work is to reflect on the heritage of speech narratives and on individual and collective rights that constitute the cultural heritage.

Possui graduação em História pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1987), mestrado em Comunicação e Semiótica pela PUC-SP (1994) e doutorado em Comunicação e Semiótica pela PUC-SP (2003). Atualmente é professor titular do Programa de Mestrado em Comunicação da Universidade Municipal de São Caetano do Sul (USCS) e professor titular da Universidade Metodista de São Paulo (UMESP).

É historiadora, com especialização em Museologia, formada pela USP.
