Environmental damage is one of the greatest that a society can be victimized, as it is especially serious to the healthy quality of life. As a corollary, it is incumbent upon the Law to encourage ways to avoid it and sanction the degrader. This text aims to demonstrate that the study of Prescription has an important aim in environmental protection. The result obtained was that prescription in the macro and in the environmental microbem cannot be treated in the same way. The hypothetical deductive methodology was used with bibliographic and jurisprudential research. The conclusion was that damage to the micro property may be subject to the Prescription as opposed to the macrobem.
