From speaker to subject: the writing of a Haitian immigrant in the light of Benvenistian Enunciation

This article presents the analysis from a textual production elaborated by a Haitian immigrant during a course of Portuguese as Welcoming Language. The aim of the study is to reflect on the subject's marks in his production through the Linguistics of Enunciation, in order to analyze the passage from speaker to subject and their appropriation of language. The theoretical contribution was based on studies by Balzan (2017), Benveniste (1976, 1989), Flores (2013), Flores et al. (2020), Jaques (2016) and Silva (2018). The study takes into account the conception of Welcoming Language teaching, which proposes, in addition to linguistic knowledge, themes involving sociocultural aspects of the environment where the immigrant or refugee will live. For this, studies of Amado (2013), Grosso (2010) and São Bernardo (2016) were the theoretical approach. The result demonstrates that knowledge of the language is essential for the immigrant to feel part of the environment and exercise their citizenship. Therefore, through the subject's traces in the speech it is concluded that the immigrant, despite formal mistakes, manages to communicate and include themselves in the society in a unique way.
