Language and interpretation: the toils by the meanings in the process of reformulation of the authoral rights law

In this paper, from the perspective of discourse analysis (DA) articulated by Michel Pecheux, we seek to understand the discursive toils arised during the process of reformulation of the authoral right law No. 9610 of February 19, 1998. To this end, we chose the notions of language and interpretation; and worked with two discoursive framings: official discourse and speech debate. Through analysis, we observe the attempt to contain the interpretation and keep the unique/official meanings, which ultimately outlining both a struggle by the meanings, for ensure/hold them, as a clash to define what can and/or can not be part of the law.Metrics
