Abstract
This work addresses the aesthetic effects of the migration between cinematographic image production systems – from an analogue process to the digitization of all stages –, which would have generated a new style of cinematographic image that influences contemporary images and their reading modes. It defines a concept of style, examines the stylistic traditions of art through history, the styles of cinematographic image in its periods and the aesthetic and professional consequences in digital cinematography. It examines new possibilities of intervention in the image. Finally, it tries to identify technological trends and stylistic reflexes in the production and consumption of these new images.
