This article proposes a study of the artistic (technical-aesthetic) qualities present in the feature film "Un Lac" (2008), directed by french filmmaker Philippe Grandrieux. The research is dedicated to examining the approaches and interpretations of the concept of "photogénie", referencing the debate that emerged in the avant-garde of the 1920s, notably in the pioneering theories of Louis Delluc and, prominently, in the work of Jean Epstein. It also underscores the relevance of certain theoretical propositions by Antonin Artaud, enhancing the understanding of Grandrieux's film within the context of the artistic influences that permeate his work. The article employs film analysis as its methodology, emphasizing some scenes and images from the film "Un Lac".
