Abstract

Through the study of layers of long plays, compact discs, singles and extended plays promotional English banda Iron Maiden, we identify and understand transmitter and receiver in the set of symbolic representations entered there, and the historical time in which they are inserted, the issues represented there and help in understanding the phenomenon not only as a heavy metal style music, but as a field of production of meaning.
