Abstract

There are times the environment has been viewed more cautiously by certain countries and made topic of discussion in several of these. However, it was with the natural disasters that matter the environment has become discussion agenda worldwide, thus globalizing the issue, since the whole world shakes with environmental disorders. Given this perspective, this work has the scope to focus on the issue of water pollution and its treatment in the Brazilian criminal legal system, promoting rather scores of extra-legal concepts key to the issue of clarification, a brief historical note of their legal protection and finally, consider critically fundamental aspects of contemporary legal-penal treatment.
