Publication Fees and Language Services Policy

Advances in Nursing and Health (ANH) maintains a policy of transparency regarding publication fees and the language services required to prepare accepted manuscripts.

1. Publication Fee

ANH establishes the following publication fee schedule:

  • Until December 31, 2026: publication is free of charge, with no publication fee.

  • From January 1, 2027: a publication fee of BRL 600.00 (six hundred Brazilian reais) per article applies.

The publication fee is requested only after final editorial acceptance.

No fees are charged for manuscript submission or scientific peer review.

Payment of the publication fee does not influence peer review, reviewer recommendations, or editorial decisions.

2. Mandatory Language Services

Regardless of the publication fee, accepted manuscripts must meet the journal's language preparation requirements:

  • Portuguese: grammatical review of the manuscript;

  • English: translation and linguistic validation;

  • Spanish: translation and linguistic validation.

These services are intended to ensure grammatical quality, terminological accuracy, and consistency across the published versions.

3. Partner Companies

Translation, linguistic validation, and grammatical review services must be provided exclusively by ANH-designated partner companies.

Contact details for these companies are provided to authors following final editorial acceptance.

The journal accepts only certificates and supporting documents issued by the designated partner companies.

4. Responsibility for Language Service Costs

Authors are responsible for language service costs, which are separate from the publication fee.

Prices and contracting conditions must be disclosed to authors before the services are performed.

Language services are required only after final editorial acceptance.

5. Documentation and Editorial Production

After completing the required language services, authors must submit the certificates or supporting documents requested by the journal.

These documents are checked during the publication checklist.

Compliance with language requirements and, where applicable, payment of the publication fee are part of the final preparation process.

6. Transparency and Editorial Independence

ANH ensures that scientific evaluation is conducted independently of payments associated with publication or language services.

Editorial decisions are based exclusively on scientific, ethical, and editorial criteria.

Information about fees, mandatory services, and payment procedures must be communicated clearly and transparently to authors.
