This paper examines Arnaldo Jabor’s film adaptation of the carioca tragedy Toda Nudez Será Castigada (1973). The purpose is to look into the process of transferring dramaturgical texts to feature films from a double viewpoint: identifying cinematographic references in the Nelson Rodrigues’ play and recognizing stage characteristics in the film. Space, time and the artistic creation of characters are the elements studied in the transposition from one medium to the other.r.Downloads
