In 1977, Maria Bethania debuted the Pássaro da Manhã concert. This spectacle, directed by Fauzi Arap, has combined songs and literary texts to prepare an intertextual dramaturgy, with political subtext, in favor of amnesty. The concert is a good example of a spectacle model that Maria Bethania develops at least since the early 1970s which puts in dialogue theater, music, literature and visual arts. This performance, while brings features of “rhapsodic drama”, according to Jean-Pierre Sarrazac’s concept, is binded a singular poetic making, coupled with voice and characteristic of oral cultures.Downloads
