The present paper examines the fictional works about the Contestado War and its influences on the representations of reality. Based on the theoretical premises on Linda Hutcheon’s A Poetics of Postmodernism (1991), metanarrative, intertextuality and the matter of historical extraction were objects of study. This made it possible to more effectively map the different ways in which the fragmentation of the self appears on these works, as well as to better understand the thin line between fiction and reality exploited by this writer.Downloads
