This paper presents A Floresta Azul (1973), by Orígenes Lessa (1903-1986) as a renewed fable or revisited traditional fable. In the political context of 1970’s in Brazil, the text alerts the readers to questions such as violence and lack of freedom in dictatorial period. The text of resistance is analyzed considering themes and structures that show people union and language as a form of protest. Operating comparatively this work assumes Lajolo and Zilberman´s (1988) concept of revisited tales.Downloads
