This study aims to analyze the representation of the maternal figure in Ivana Arruda Leite’s short story “Mãe, o cacete” from the perspective of feminist and gender studies. I tried to identify the representation of the mother / monster, therefore breaking away from notions rooted in the imagination of a patriarchal society that sanctifies motherhood.References
