This work aims to study the urban experience through the relationship between individual and city, in Caio Fernando Abreu’s short stories. I will investigate the articulation between spaces, characters and conflicts in the short-stories “Creme de Alface” (1996), “Além do Ponto” (1982) and “Zoológico Blues” (1977). The reading of the modern city by Abreu is not only concerned with the space, but it also involves the investigation and the comprehension of the urban individual conflicts, in this space and with this space.Downloads
