Abstract

Linguistic work based on disciplines that study the lexicon, specifically lexicography and terminology. It focuses on the language of expertise used by crab collectors and sellers, including three semantic fields - crab searching, processing and marketing - in two localities on the State of Maranhão: São Luís and Araioses.

Author Biography

Luciana Araújo Moreira, Universidade Federal do Maranhão

Atualmente é auxiliar de pesquisa do Projeto ALiMA, do Departamento de Letras, na Universidade Federal do Maranhão. Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Dialetologia. Foi bolsista da Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa e ao Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico do Maranhão por dois anos consecutivos, desenvolvendo o trabalho "O Atlas Linguistico do Maranhao: um estudo do léxico do caranguejo", sob orientação da Profa. Dra. Conceição de Maria de Araujo Ramos. Foi a vencedora, da área de Ciências Humanas e Sociais, da maior premiação científica do Maranhão, o Prêmio FAPEMA (2008), com o trabalho que desenvolveu no decorrer de sua graduação na Universidade Federal do Maranhão e no Projeto Atlas Linguistico do Maranhão. Atua, principalmente nos seguintes temas: lexicografia, terminologia, variação lingüística, produção textual e ensino de língua portuguesa.
