Mesoclisis in Academic Texts: Frequency and evaluation

This paper focuses on the use of mesoclisis in Brazilian Portuguese. It analyses the frequency of this structure in academic writing and discusses how Brazilian speakers evaluate it. We will argue that the language change involving mesoclisis is almost complete.
