In this work was presented a hybrid analytical-numerical solution to heat transfer problem of thermally developing Newtonian laminar flow inside biconical ducts employing the Generalized Integral Transform Technique (GITT). In order to facilitate the analytical treatment and the application of the boundary conditions, a Conformal Transform was used to change the domain into a more suitable coordinate system. Thereafter, the GITT was applied on the energy equation to obtain the temperature distribution. Numerical results were obtained for thermal parameters of interest, such as: bulk mean temperature, local and mean Nusselt number, and thermal entry length.Downloads
