This article discusses computational implementation aspects and performance of a Bayesian methodology, namely particle filter (PF). The PF channel estimation technique is directly applied to the channel coefficients estimation of DS/CDMA systems. Simulation results for non-line-of-sight (NLOS) Rayleigh fading channel propagation have indicated that the bootstrap PF estimator is capable to provide RMSE in the range of [10-3 ; 10-2] for a wide range of multiple access interference (MAI) levels and signal-noise ratio (SNR), and still be able to offer robustness to near-far ratio (NFR) effect.
