Abstract

This paper is the synthesis of a master's research on the effect of clothing on thermal comfort. Its purpose was to develop a low-cost method for measuring the thermal resistance of fabrics by means of prototypes made in ceramics. The equipment was developed along experimental stages. In the final configuration, eight fabric samples were evaluated on three different variables. The prototype developed had a satisfactory performance and the results can help choosing the fabric in the fashion design.
