Presenças, anúncios, silêncios: registros fotográficos de um lugar chamado Gruppelli

Abstract

This writing is an exercise in reconstructing the history of a place called Gruppelli, located in the 7th District of Pelotas - RS. Through a series of photographic records of the first three decades of the twentieth century, it was possible to notice the changes in two buildings of Gruppelli's family that time. The presence or absence of evidence on the scene led to identification of these changes. This is a reading that from the present, and drawing up the ideas of Philippe Dubois (2007), sought to identify both a historical time, as proposed by Philippe Ariès (1989) as the changes and stay in place, which according Marc Augé (1994), is characterized by anthropological. These images, when searched, revealed the very expression of the place on this colonial context.
