The homoaffective behaviour from social determinism, in João Gilberto Noll's Acenos e afagos (2008)

In João Gilberto Noll's novel, Acenos e Afagos (2008), the protagonist, João Imaculado, experiences hetero and homosexual relationships; hence, we will analyze how his behavior in related to the prejudiced view of the mainstream society. Thus, the specific objectives are: to determine if the protagonist is aware of the prejudice that exists in the society, and how it influences his hetero and homoerotic relationships. The article will deal with these questions and as a result, we expect that the character is inserted in a between-place, and he is known as someone who does not have courage to break the prejudiced social laws, so he is submitted to them.Downloads
