Presentation of a new way of approaching the short story "Missa do Galo", based on categories of Wolfgang Iser's Theory of Aesthetic Effect. A phenomenological reading, systematizing the trajectory of the perceptual and cognitive acts of the theory, is able to illustrate the way in which the "effect" and "response" are processed by the author-reader of the critic's text.Downloads
