Abstract

In the eighteenth century, with the emergence of the so-called Philosophy of Lights, giving critical importance to reflection, critical activities began to develop until then very limited by obedience to the precepts of Antiquity. In the French context, the figures of Diderot and Rousseau stand out who, in addition to writing works of fiction, also think about artistic activity in terms of its conceptualization and the function attributed to it by society.
