Abstract

This text discusses the two procedures of topic-closure found in symmetrical dialogues (the phrastic and the paraphrastic closure) and shows that there is a distribution of roles in these procedures.

Possui graduação em Letras (Português e Francês) pela Universidade de São Paulo (1969), mestrado em Língua Portuguesa pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1980) e doutorado em Filologia e Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade de São Paulo (1990). Atualmente é Professor Adjunto da Universidade Estadual de Londrina.
