Abstract

Following a line of cognitive investigation, this research seeks to examine the cognitive processing strategy of reintrodution of a given topic, after some time an entity has been mentioned in the speech, based on oral narratives and speakers of low education degree. The theoretical orientation relies on the considerations presented by Dik (1989) concerning topicality strategies in the speech.

Possui graduação em Licenciatura Plena em Língua Portuguesa e Francesa pela Universidade Federal do Pará (1975), mestrado em Lingüística e Letras pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1980) e doutorado em Letras - Área de concentração em Lingüística e Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1996).
