Abstract

Text/discourse genres have become a frequent topic in the didactic debate on how to teach Portuguese in the Brazilian school context since the publication of the National Curricular Parameters. This work seeks to develop an analysis of how the elementary school is dealing with genres and to demonstrate what it means to work with text genres under the perspective of the sociodiscursive interactionism.

Ana Maria de Mattos Guimarães, UNISINOS

Possui graduação em Letras pela Fundação Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (1970), mestrado em Letras pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1979) e doutorado em Lingüística e Letras pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1990). Atualmente é professora da Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos, onde coordena o Programa de Pós -Graduação em Lingüística Aplicada.
