Commodification is a process by which areas and social institutions are being organized and defined in terms of production, distribution and consumption of goods. It has, accordingly, widespread effects on the orders of discourse, ranging for a penetrating restructuring, under the impact of the movement settling of the advertising discourse. This project is anchored in the Critical Discourse Analysis, considering the link between language, ideology, discourse and power. We focus as the operation of the colonization of the journalistic order of discourse by advertising discourse.
