Development of the spatial perception and graphic expression

This article describes theoretically the development of the spatial perception capacity that a child has, how he/she represents it in his/her mind and transfers this representation to the paper. The purpose of this theoretical description is to reflect upon the development of though, perception and communication through graphic representation, aiming at coming to a solution of problems which were found in the teaching process of Drawing and Geometry in college. Currently some teachers try to solve problems such as lack of spatial visualization from the part of the students, modifying old and traditional teaching methodologies. The also try to broaden the technological resources currently available in the information technology market. It is perfectly valid to search for such solutions. However, it is believed that these problems are related to the development of the spatial perception capacity and its representation.
