The present study attempt to develop the strategies accessary to understand an academic text used by students of the seventh term of the nursing course at FUEL and establish a training program for those thai show weakwess. This study was developed in three stages, diagnosis, orientation and training. The methods followed during these three methodological stages were: an interview, use of a direct observation card and the reading of a text taken from an academic. book.
