In this paper the author analyzes some sanitary programs in Brazil. These sanitary programs have enphazized the use of health auxiliary and hierarchization of the services, elementsadded in conceptual principles of primary health care. Under this point of view, the following programs are analyzed: Programas da Fundição Serviços de Saúde Pública (FSESP), Experiência dos minipostos do Rio Grande do Norte, Programa do Norte de Minas and Programa de interiorização das ações de saúde e saneamento
(PIASS).
