The mechanical properties of a solid are frequently studies using it's single crystal. A furnace to grow copper single crystal plates has been developed. We present here the details of construction of the furnace, the thermocouple for temperature control and the moving support for the furnace, The calculation of resistance for the furnace, it's assembly and thermal isolation have also been discussed. Finally, a flow-chart of the mechanical and eletrical system of the furnace is presented.
