Abstract

We live in times of crisis. Design, based on conventional practices, contributed to the amplification of certain imbalances. Conscious and positioned in disruptive practices, we propose in this article experimentation as a means of design to create opportunities for other modes of action, acting in subversiveness of traditional ways of solving the problem of crisis and developing alternatives to live in it. We conducted an experimental practice of narrative constructions of life in crisis, through speculative cards, crossing possibilities to think about the crisis. On the occasion, the experimental practitioners were immersed in perspectives of living in times of suffocation, stimulated by the proposed dynamics. This article presents an account of the experimental practice, in which ways to think about the crisis were put, resulting in a stimulus to creative and critical thinking in design about the ways of contributing to the theme.
