This essay thinks in a philosophical way the matter of the book, beyond the editorial activity and the knowledge related to the editorial production, and also beyond the design - but not the drawing. Specifically, the poetry book A mão esquerda de Vênus, by Fernanda Young, which constitutes itself the threshold of visual arts, stuff and poetry. In order to think about the book- -object and the book-thing, it is necessary, in this case, to think about the visual dimensions and the stuff concepts developed by Young in a practical way. Therefore, a strange poetic matter that involves the poet’s making, the things of the poet, poetic objects, and artifacts of the poet is put on the scene. There is no intention to investigate a concept, theme or issue exhaustively enough to exhaust them. The proposal is simply to philosophize with this strange poetic material that is Young’s sensible life.Downloads
