Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of a set of historical images of the J. Sguario wood company’s photo album, considered to be one of the largest logging companies in the 1940s and 50s and which was portrayed by the Swedish photographer Klas Gustav Jansson (1877-1954). This analysis carried out by pre-established categorizations based on the authors Martine Joly and Ana Maria Mauad reveals the relationship among technology, nature and work observed in this historical moment of Paraná and São Paulo wood cycle.
