Pleasure and pain: possibilities found in Hieronymus Bosch and Bertrand Vannier

This article analyses one painting and one photograph, through the principles of Graimasian semiotics. Elements found in both are considered in order to show that pleasure and pain might be represented by the same elements. It also focuses on the direct influence of experience over vision: the image file that each individual develops is continuously updated and make it possible to evaluate the distance established between senses and background.
