Abstract

Our Constitution of 1988 provides for the right to life. But there is no life that is guaranteed in our Higher Law but the existence of decent life. Undeniably, is that the family, usually represents the first contact with the human sociability and thus, this dignified life must begin to be built within the family unit. The educa- tional function of the family meets the needs of its members, and as an extension of family education, is environmental education, which should permeate our actions in daily life when in our relationship with the environment. All depend on everyone to survive. Therefore, the local action of each family can have global consequences for society as a whole and determine the existence of life.
