Abstract

This article is to analyze the scope of whistleblower Institute awarded the light of law nº. 12.850 / 13, starting from a deductive methodological approach, using bibliographical research to address the national legal tract. Therefore, we seek to understand their relevance to the fight against criminal organizations, as well as check their validity according to ethical and legal dictates. Begins observing the influence of these organizations, their corporate gear and the availability of resources used to earn illegal benefits, but also the difficulty of confronting the state, not only by the lack or scarcity of resources, but also by the procedural red tape that prevents effectively dismantle such organizations. To overcome this problem, the award-winning whistleblower proves to be an important tool for the prosecution, particularly when buoyed by the procedures laid down by law 12.850 / 13, corroborating the fulfillment of a criminal policy committed to the people's well-being and protection Constitutional Rule of Law.
