Poetry is the praxis of the eternal return of the same: the same difficulty, difficulty itself. In other words, the relation of image to sense is the very eternal return of the same. Brazilian poet Jorge de Lima reads Dante, Baudelaire, Lautréamont, Rimbaud, Michaux, Bergson and doing so he is positioning Lima’s work within a contemporary philosophical scene definitively characterised by its exposure to Ancient Greek philosophy and Christian tradition.Downloads
