In this paper, we propose to study two poems by Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Evocação mariana and Retrato de família, in order to identify the metonymic and metaphorical chains of the poem as photographic’s figurations. In Retratos de Família metonymy is configured as a specific force caused by the punctum while metaphors correspond to the transfiguration of the feeling of the poet on the picture. In the poem Evocação mariana, the poet’s vision is similar to the photographer’s vision. Therefore, the poetic word is a visual device used to mediate figurations.Downloads
