Religious poetry, Resistance, Pedro CasaldáligaAbstract
The term postmodern as unfolded by Alfredo Bosi brings with it a self-defense movement that coincides with the renewal process of the Catholic Church in Latin America. In times of dictatorship, Dom Pedro Casaldáliga arrives in Brazil; his activism in the liberation theology inspired not only religious actions but also it reflects and renews the religious poetry. The social conflicts experienced in the Amazon lands of Mato Grosso become noticed through the religious poet’s voice of resistance and accusation.Downloads
