The article tackles the theoretical and critical characterization of Brazilian dramatic texts produced during the decade of 1950, in its relation with the theatre, facing the reception of Peter Szondi’s theory by the Brazilian critics. We intend to discuss aspects related to the use of the term “modern drama” as an understanding key of artistic processes, under its particularities in the Brazilian theatre scene.Downloads
