This article presents a proposal of text genre progression for a technical course in the area of civil construction to be applied in the second semester of 2009. it is, therefore, an action research because it will be conducted in cooperative action and participation of the actors involved - teachers and students. The paper discusses the theory of social interactionism and the proposed work with language actions in semioticized text genres as postulated by Bronckart (1999) and Schneuwly and Dolz (2004). The designed pedagogical proposal intends to develop students' language skills by working with texts genres from the journalistic, academic and technical-professional areas, in accordance with the new language teaching paradigm.
