Émile Benveniste’s theory is the base for a brief discussion about the reformulation of books, which engenders the so called “revised edition”, whose identity has commonly been marked by a controversy between same/other book. We intend to approach the relationship between theorization process, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, the subject who enunciates the knowledge. This is intended to discuss, for example, the ressignification of some conceptual categories and the unrepeatable construction of the referential value of each énoncé.
