Depending on the context of work, in general, one may find foreign language teachers that are either native speakers without any specific formation in the area, or competent users due to their experience with the language, but also without a pedagogical education, or graduates from university courses, for example, the Letters Course, or people with postgraduate studies in the field. It is important to note that these categories are not mutually exclusive: for example, a graduate in Letters can be a native speaker, and also, a competent user shall be as well a holder of a post-graduation title.
