It is a fact, no doubtlessly. Not even Luis Fernando Verissimo was spared by Aurélio (the dictionary) in his text "O autóctone". In this story, the author establishes the importance of the dictionary to society, symbolized by the distressed girl dealing with an unknown word that makes it hard the task of composition. Without Aurélio, she would not be able to understand this work: she would not know, would not have the "power".
